Thai Country Club is a Peninsula Hotel managed member’s course. One of the top-rated golf courses in Bangkok, with excellent service standards.

Designed to USPGA operating standards by Denis Griffiths. The course first opened its doors in December 1996. The design appeals to the everyday golf member right up to the major Internationals and PGA tournaments.

The venue played host to the 1997 Asian Honda Classic, where Tiger Woods cruised to a memorable 10-stroke victory after shooting a final round of 68 for a 20-under-par total of 268 for the championship, to gain the win. Move on one year later, and the second round of the 1998 Johnnie Walker Super Tour was also played in ideal conditions for a comfortable win in style by Vijay Singh, who carded a magnificent score of 66 - two strokes ahead of Ernie Els and Jesper Parnevik. In recent years, the Thai Country Club has hosted, both the 2007 and 2008 Volvo Masters.

The course, as expected is exceptionally well-maintained all year-round. Each hole features great variety, and an abundance of water hazards and sand bunkers. Its immaculate presentation and fantastic condition, couple this together with a robust and classic parkland layout, has the Thai Country Club regularly voted in the Top 5 courses in Asia.

The Course has a layout that requires proper course management. It's hard to imagine the terrain here was, before construction, flat, especially looking across the rolling earth mounds, manicured fairways and often elevated greens. Both the fairway and greenside bunkering are superb, almost like a work of art, you would see in any top-class gallery. Anything wayward from the tee will usually be easy to find, but as likely to be sitting down in clinging semi-rough, making the next shot just a little more difficult.

The course greens make for many exciting pin placements and are a constant test of one's golfing abilities. There are several world-class holes among this extraordinarily strong eighteen-hole course. The Par 3, 6th measuring 218 from the back tees is as challenging as a hole can get, with water down the right side and bunkers in front and behind the green. According to the competition statistics, this deceiving hole is the most difficult on the course, with a stroke average of 3.38 for the professionals.
